SLIK
A Field Media Handler for Video Production.
Cross Platform: Windows, MacOs, Linux
NOTE: Currently only Windows binaries available.

Latest updates:
- 30/05/2026: First betas released
- 12/09/2025: First alpha version released.

Features:
- Slik only backs up/copies files. No files are ever deleted.
- No more duplicates. Slik scans the backup drive to see if a source clip has already been backup up.
- Backs up new source media into daily folders.
- Automatically detects different source media types ( camera brand & type, Audio device, ... ). Each one is backup up into separate subfolder: Amira clips into /20260530/Amira/, Sony Z750 into /20260530/Z750/ and so one
- Choose between backup all files ( including junk created by camera like .inf files) and keeping the folder structure of the memory card, or, only backup the actual media files, and drop the useless folder structure. This can be defined per media type.
- Create your own 'Recipes' for your own equipment.
- Smart Bytelevel Verify of source and destination files: As a full byte for byte verify is extremly slow for large media files, Slik verifies headers, footers and selected parts of each file to make sure that files with similar names, creation dates and sizes are actually copies or new files.
- Sync 2 ( or more) backup destinations. You can backup to your local drive first, and later sync that one to an extra external drive.
